Bespoke dressing room with Carat Beige shaker doors in Wokingham

Case Study: A Dream Bespoke Dressing Room in Wokingham

Inside a luxury fitted dressing room tailored to our client’s lifestyle.

When our client came to us, they wanted more than storage. Their vision was a space that felt calm, elegant, and personal — a dressing room where every detail combined beauty with everyday practicality.

The Brief

The request was simple but ambitious: a bespoke walk-in wardrobe with generous hanging space, mirrored doors to reflect light, an island with drawers and seating, and warm lighting to make the room as welcoming as it was functional. The design had to blend seamless organisation with timeless style.

The Design

We began by planning floor-to-ceiling wardrobes with four-panel shaker doors finished in a soft Carat Beige. To create depth and brightness, we added mirrored panels that not only bounce light around the room but also give the illusion of more space. Inside, the wardrobes are lined with Egger Carat Beige, a warm neutral tone that creates a calming backdrop for clothes, shoes and accessories.

The island became the heart of the room — practical and indulgent in equal measure. It includes six large drawers, four bespoke jewellery drawers with custom inserts, and a spray-painted top designed to be finished with a marble-inspired compact laminate worktop with a striking black core. A built-in leather seat in soft taupe adds comfort, while discreet storage underneath ensures every inch of space is useful.

For contrast, matt black handles were chosen. Their bold yet understated finish grounds the soft colour palette, tying together the shaker profiles and modern worktop.

Finally, the externals were spray-painted in Macadamia, a timeless finish that layers beautifully with Carat Beige and stone textures. Combined with warm LED lights on sensors, the result is a dressing room that feels luxurious without being over-the-top.

The Result

The finished space is a true dream dressing room:

Mirrored shaker doors that bring elegance and light
Warm vertical LED lighting that switches on automatically
A central island that doubles as storage and seating
A refined palette of Carat Beige, Macadamia, and marble-inspired textures
Discreet but bold matt black handles for contrast

It’s a perfect example of how bespoke furniture transforms a home — not just by solving storage challenges, but by creating a space that feels inspiring and personal every day.

This project shows the power of luxury fitted furniture tailored to a client’s lifestyle. Off-the-shelf wardrobes rarely maximise space or reflect personal taste. By designing everything to fit the room — and the client — we created storage that feels like part of the home rather than an afterthought.
The finished space is a true dream dressing room: mirrored shaker doors, warm LED lighting, a central island with jewellery drawers and seating, and a calm palette of Carat Beige and Macadamia. Every detail works together to create a room that is both beautiful and practical, designed to make everyday living feel effortless.
